Biography
I chose to raise my children in Manitoba because this is where I was raised and I wanted them to experience the true community and family values I did while growing up in Transcona. I know the work ethic, resilience, and strong community values that define this place, and I am committed to ensuring it thrives.
As a five-time Olympian and three-time Olympic medalist, I know what it means to work hard, overcome challenges, and deliver results. My career in speed skating taught me discipline, determination, and perseverance—qualities I will bring to the Manitoba Legislature as your Independent MLA.
More than my Olympics experience my greatest achievement is my family. My husband and I made a choice to build our life here in Manitoba and I couldn’t be happier. My motivation is to see Manitoba as the place for a future for our daughters and that Transcona is the heart of that future. Join me in making Transcona the future of Manitoba.
Why Independent?
The old parties try to define us with left vs. right labels, but real leadership is about common sense, not ideology. I am financially conservative because I believe your money should be spent wisely—but I also believe in investing in people, helping families succeed, and keeping Manitobans here.
I will not join any party—I will be a true voice for Transcona and fight for what matters most to our community.
